as part of FRAMED, a Node.London event.
Resonance 104.4 fm is the world’s first radio art station, established by London Musicians’ Collective. It started broadcasting on May 1st 2002. Its brief? To provide a radical alternative to the universal formulae of mainstream broadcasting. Resonance 104.4 fm features programmes made by musicians, artists and critics who represent the diversity of London’s arts scenes, with regular weekly contributions from nearly two hundred musicians, artists, thinkers, critics, activists and instigators; plus numerous unique broadcasts by artists on the weekday “Clear Spot”.

Framed was a performance event/showcase which took place in the new Slade Research Centre space in Woburn Square at the end of March 2006 to coincide with the NODE.London
season for media arts and also to mark the 10th anniversary of the Slade Centre for Electronic Media

From works exploring transmission, networking and time to palm pilot drawings, sound performances as well as experimental works developed in collaboration with UCL’s Immersive VR Laboratory exploring physiological input devices, this event was intended to provide a snapshot of the broad range of interests, exploration and investigations in this area.
